Beauty Tip of the Day...Mr. Sun

OK Ladies! I would like to give quick and simple tips to help you take great care of yourselves! I would love for this to be a Q&A thing where you post your questions about your bodies, skincare, makeup, etc and I will try my best to answer. If I don't know, I will do the research and find out!

Today, I just want to give one quick tip about summertime and your skin...

Most of us love going to the beach or pool, laying out and catching some rays, but we can be tan and beautiful and still protect ourselves from long term skin damage. My grandpa worked outside all the time and developed skin cancer so this made me very cautious about the amount of sun exposure I get. I burn super easily so it is always important to use SPF of at least 15 if you are going to be outside for an extended time. (You can still get a tan...the sunscreen will protect you from the bad effects!)

Most importantly, the skin on your FACE!! This skin is different from that on your body and needs to be treated that way. It is thinner and should be protected everyday from the elements...even in the winter. Look for a daily facial moisturizer with SPF of preferably 25 to use under your makeup (or on your beautiful nakey face!). This will help protect from sun spots, cancer, wrinkles, and other fun stuff that comes years up the road.

Getting daily moderate sun exposure is a good thing; we need that vitamin D for our bones, muscles and immune systems and it can also help stimulate the "happy parts" in our brain-so worship responsibly! The better you do to protect your skin today, the better it will hold up over time!
