Live and Learn

So I have come to discover that I have gained a lot of life experience; both good and bad. Truth is we can't take any of it back so we might as well learn from it. Through it all, I have learned a great deal and can't regret any of my choices because they have all been a part of the process; the process of becoming me. All that being said, what would the learning be good for if it isn't shared.

It would be great if every young girl had someone on their journey of life to help guide them along. To avoid major road blocks (bad choices)and help them identify better ways to focus their attentions and time. Not to say that we don't have those kinds of people around (moms, grandmoms, sisters...), just perhaps none of those available are the kind we generally want to listen to. Here is the thing though, if I learned nothing, I did learn that when your family and friends are telling you something, it probably has validity and is maybe even in your best interest to listen up to their advice!
I know, I know, but your mom doesn't know anything, right? She is so out of
touch with what it's like to be you. She could never understand.
Thing is, she was your age, at some point, and believe it or not, she had to deal with the same challenges and questions and problems you face today. Maybe it was a little different, but since the beginning of time there was an Adam and an Eve and I am hear to tell you, that was the beginning of a long history of difficulty for women all through time. I bet your grandma even has some pretty wild stories; if she would be willing to tell them.

So, my mission is to spread the word that you are not alone. You are not the only one who feels the way you do or has that question you are thinking right now in your head (did my grandmother do that?!!). I have been there and am now here to try and share some gold nuggets of knowledge for you to ponder. Hopefully they will help ease your life's load and make you stronger, more confident, more wise, and ready to take on every day; even the ones that just don't go as you planned. Also, I hope to open up some dialog, hear your questions, your hearts, and help you get a better grip on what all this "being a woman" stuff is all about.

When God made you, he made something special, something divine. Now let's just work on helping you get to the place where you can see that in the mirror every day!
